Physical Therapist

Job Description Insight Global is looking for an Orthopedic Physiotherapist to join our client local to the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island on a permanent basis. The successful candidate should hold a certification in orthopedic physiotherapy and have the ability to work on-site 5-days per week (Monday-Friday). You will be assisting individuals with the diagnosis and treatment of injuries within the musculoskeletal system impacting muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons. You'll have direct access to in-house ultrasound diagnostics and injection medicine to provide a more timely diagnosis/care and positive patient experience. Additionally, you will be coming into a position with an immediately full case load with regular patient referrals.
Must Haves
- Certified Orthopedic Physiotherapist
- Experience diagnosing and treating patients with various injuries and ailments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Patient Evaluation:
Conduct thorough assessments to determine the nature and extent of patients' musculoskeletal issues
- Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and physician recommendations
- Therapeutic Interventions:
Utilize various techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve function
- Patient Education:
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and strategies for managing their conditions at home
- Progress Monitoring:
Regularly document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and communicate updates to the healthcare team
