MAXX North America Services Ltd., a leading provider of energy transportation services across Western Canada, is looking to hire a Project Manager to work in our Pipeline Maintenance division. This opportunity represents a compelling career challenge for someone looking to get in on the ground floor with an up-and-coming company that has a strong leadership team based in Edmonton.

Reporting to the Pipeline Maintenance Manager, the ideal candidate will prepare project proposals for clients, plan and organize field crews and monitor projects related to Safety, Quality, Cost and Schedule. The successful candidate will become a key contributor to the ongoing growth of the organization.

The role is based in Edmonton, Alberta with occasional travel to Maxx’s project sites across Western Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Review tender documents, estimates and preparation of proposals.

· Define project scopes, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables.

· Act as primary liaison with site supervisors and subcontractors.

· Understand complete site access requirements (PPE, Safety Training, D&A testing, etc.).

· Conduct cost/benefit analysis and margin estimations to determine project success parameters.

· Manage client/contractor site meetings, RFI’s, change orders, invoices and document control processes.

· Identify, communicate, monitor and maintain project HSE expectations and deliverables.

Skills and Experience:

· 2-5 years of experience in a project management role

· Professional Engineer + PMP designation or similar certification is preferred

· Knowledge and experience with pipeline maintenance related work including but not limited to:

o Pigging Operations

o Separator Operations

o Torquing and Tensioning

o Logistics

o Proven experience managing projects in the $.2M to $5M range

o Cost control

o Quality control

· Experience in reading and interpreting contract requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude is a MUST
