The Identity Team is developing, enhancing and maintaining the systems and services that are crucial to Alpaca’s user onboarding and account management across our suite of services. These include KYC/AML processes, entitlements management and regulatory reporting. The team is instrumental in ensuring a compliant and efficient user onboarding experience, enabling over a million users to engage with Alpaca’s trading and financial services platform securely and with trust.
For this role, we are seeking an experienced engineer who is obsessed with delivering defect-free solutions, has proven experience architecting and building at scale, and who is not afraid of challenging conventions or voicing their opinions. An understanding of cloud-based modern architecture, infrastructure, and orchestration practices are also great assets we actively look for.
Provide technical guidance and support, ensuring the team's adherence to best practices and development standards
Communicate project statuses, challenges, and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
You may be asked to be on-call to assist with engineering projects that are timely in nature
Proven experience in building and maintaining microservices
Strong coding skills, preferably in Go
Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
Experience with Identity/Account Management and/or KYC/AML systems
Experience working remotely
Experience working at a startup
