Flight Controls Engineer (Fly-By-Wire & Secondary Systems) Senior Professional Engineering, FBW and Secondary Flight Control System
Location: Montreal, QC – Hybrid (2 days/week on-site)
Contract: 12 months
Status: Consultant/Freelance/Self employed/Independent Contractor
No overtime expected – regular workday with some flexibility.
Occasional travel to suppliers
We are looking for a Senior Professional Engineer with expertise in Fly-by-Wire (FBW) and Secondary Flight Control Systems to support existing programs and contribute to future aerospace innovations. Integrate FBW and Secondary Flight Control systems on aircraft.
Perform and review feasibility analyses.
Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements.
Prepare and review test procedures; execute rig and aircraft testing.
Support certification activities through test reports.
Troubleshoot in-service issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Participate in trade-off studies and lifecycle cost analysis for future programs.
Provide on-site support at final assembly lines, completion centers, and flight test facilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering .
~Direct involvement in definition and certification of FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control systems .
~ familiarity with ADAMS and CATIA is an asset.
~ Proficiency in MS Office and requirements management tools.
Excellent communication in English (French is an asset).
Strong technical writing skills.
Organized, self-motivated, team player, customer-focused.

Statut : Consultant / Freelance / Travailleur autonome / Sous-traitant indépendant
Pas d’heures supplémentaires prévues – journée régulière avec flexibilité.
Nous recherchons un ingénieur senior spécialisé en Fly-by-Wire (FBW) et systèmes de commandes de vol secondaires pour soutenir des programmes existants et contribuer à des projets innovants dans le secteur aéronautique. Collaborer avec les fournisseurs sur les concepts et philosophies de conception.
Développer, valider et vérifier les exigences techniques.
Résoudre les problèmes en service : analyse des causes et mise en œuvre des actions correctives.
Assurer la conformité au processus de développement ARP4754 .
Fournir un support sur site aux lignes d’assemblage final, centres de finition et centres d’essais en vol.
Diplôme en génie mécanique ou aéronautique .
~7+ ans d’expérience dans le domaine aéronautique.
~ Maîtrise des outils MS Office et de gestion des exigences.
Excellente communication en anglais (français est un atout).
Solides compétences en rédaction technique.
