JOB OVERVIEW AND OPPORTUNITIES This dynamic position will work hand in hand with our Taproom Manager to supervise all areas of the Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co taproom as well as working closely with marketing and production staff. The chosen applicant will work on the upkeep of the shop, manage high volume service behind the bar, and assist our Taproom Manager in all aspects of keeping the business running smoothly. Success in this position will be founded in a love for hospitality and passion for exceptional customer experience. Self motivation is key Success will come with the ability to collaborate with multiple work groups and multitask like a pro. The Assistant Taproom Manager will also supervise a team of bartenders working in the taproom, carry out various administrative tasks and assist in the strategic planning and budgeting for the taproom. The ideal candidate comes with plenty of restaurant/bar experience, is extremely organized and detail oriented, is responsible, mature, as well as hard working. The position will be full time with required hours on nights and weekends. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for ensuring the team consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience • Training and reinforcing Ol’ B hospitality standards • Responding to reservation inquiries and managing a high volume reservation calendar following established procedures • A strong desire to collaboratively lead the direction of the taproom experience while staying up to date on market and industry trends and opportunities • Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for guests at all times• Maintain beer and merchandise needs for inventory • Manage the coordination for all special events hosted in the taproom while keeping a calendar of booked events • Execution of standard operating procedures for reordering needs and inventory stock levels • Daily quality control metrics to ensure optimal customer experience for all Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co guests• Other duties as assigned DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of high-volume restaurant or bar experience required • Event planning experience preferred • Brewery experience is a plus KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS • Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations and remain positive • Strict attention to detail • Computer literacy: excel, word, outlook, square, etc • Events planning and coordination experience • Time management and schedule management COMPENSATION • Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co offers competitive wages that will be determined by experience. • Ol’ Beautiful offers a comprehensive benefits plan • And of course… the obvious perks of working with amazing people at one of Calgary’s favorite breweries Please send resume and a brief introductory email to careers@olbeautiful.com with email subject line “Your Name – Assistant Taproom Manager".
