Provide counselling services to clients referred privately, by employers, by various insurance companies, and other third-party organizations to address psychosocial problems related to injury, trauma, and mental illness.
Adopt a goal-focussed, therapeutic approach for alleviating distress and improving social and occupational functioning.
Delivery quality reporting and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Licensing:
Clinical Counsellors must have a Master’s degree in Counselling / Clinical Psychology and be registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counselors or with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association
Experience in case conceptualization and treatment of a range of mental health symptoms with a variety of adult clients.
Knowledge of psychological management of chronic pain and concussive syndrome an asset.
Training and experience with cognitive behavioural therapy approaches (e.g., Excellent interpersonal skills, solid judgement, and integrity.
