*Job Summary: *The Shippers' duties include recording every detail of the order, from packing items into containers to labeling them. They are also accountable for ensuring each package gets shipped correctly and timely to avoid missing deliveries or lost goods. Ultimately, you will work with our warehouse team to ensure that items are labeled and packed correctly for shipping.
*Responsibilities*
* Ensure orders are filled accurately before shipping
* Select appropriate shipping containers, weighing and labeling items appropriately
* Assist in receiving unloading containers and checking in merchandise
* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves
* Assist in counting inventory
* Assist at the order desk as necessary; answer customer calls
* Prepare and follow up on customer quotes as required
* Input shipment requirements using UPS and FedEx
* Generate computerized reports, forms, and lists
* Communicate with other staff to resolve customer issues
*Requirements*
* Attention to detail
* Experience with various shipping companies software
* Able to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
* Capable of lifting and manipulating objects, regularly lifting and moving objects up to 25 kg (50 lbs.) and, on occasion, 32 kg (70 lbs.)
* Ability to stay on feet for long periods; frequently required to stand, walk and kneel
* Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
* Good physical strength and stamina
* Prioritize with consistent accuracy and detail
* Must work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
* Enjoy working in a fast-paced, busy environment
*Qualifications*
* High School Graduate
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good numerical skills
* Forklift license considered an assest
