RT Medical Job Description
Registered Practical Nurses provide care to individuals who need assistance as they deal with the effects of aging, injury, surgery, or illness. In collaboration with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals, help formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plan(s) and adjust accordingly in consultation with the patient/family/caregiver and other health care professionals.
Providing services in a variety of settings which may include in-home, clinic, retirement home, or school
Experience in wound care, IV medications and re-sites, catheter care, compression/VAC, and ostomy care considered an asset
This role will be direct at a long term care facility
Experience as a visiting nurse, visiting registered nurse, visiting registered practical nurse, and/or community nurse is considered an asset
Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
Updated immunization records (including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months)
Ability to interact with others in a caring, tactful, and courteous manner
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and crisis-resolution skills
Valid G2/G driver's license and access to a reliable car. Ability to use phone applications.
Submission of proof of three COVID vaccinations
TB test completed within 6 months to a year
Up-to-date CPR and First Aid certification
