If you are looking for an awesome company to build your career with, with tons of growth opportunities, and solid compensation, and that thrives on innovative design and cutting-edge technology, then PMP is for youWe offer:- A competitive compensation package- Employer-paid Extended Health & Dental benefits package- Short-term and long-term disability insurance- Life Insurance- Employee & family assistance program- Group RRSP program- Opportunities for continuous education- Monetary incentive for employee referrals- Growth opportunities- Amazing corporate culture- Respectful work environmentSpecifically, the Superintendent will:Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the project, including coordinating subcontractors, materials and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing all aspects of the mechanical project installation, by:Leading by example; working alongside, supervising and directing the site teamDeveloping short-term and long-term schedules in collaboration with the Project ManagerPlanning and scheduling tasks for the Site Foreperson and JourneypeopleEstablishing standard site work hoursHelping eliminate job site clutter and overordering from the shopIn Partnership with the Project Manager, developing a strong understanding of the project scope, reviewing documentation for consistency and issuing RFI’s as requiredIn Partnership with the Project Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific health and safety policyIn Partnership with the Project Manager, developing and enforcing the project-specific QAQC programOrdering of materials and equipment to suit the site installationCoordinating with the shop and PMP modellers for site-required itemsDirecting and monitoring sub-trade works to ensure the installation is in line with the project documentsMonitoring and reporting on-site installation to ensure activities are in line with the project schedule, adjusting the team and/or tasks as requiredPerforming other duties as requiredHaving a strong understanding of the project specificationsHaving a basic understanding of the contract requirementsSkills & Requirements• Able to lead by example• Strong interpersonal skills• Able to multi-task and prioritize• Detail-oriented• Extremely Organized• Pro-active and reliable• Able to self-manage continuous learning and skill development• Proficient with modern technologies• Team player (ability to maintain good working relationships with other personnel, including PMP employees, contractors, sub-trades, and others)• Strong work ethic• Deadline-driven• Must be approachable• Must have strong problem-solving skills• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Fluent in English• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada• Must have Canadian experience as a Superintendent in the Plumbing/Mechanical industry• Able to identify deficient work and provide resolution• Able to read Blueprints, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction and ID drawings• Must be able to take directionsEducation & Experience• A minimum of 10 years in the mechanical construction industry• Red Seal Certified• Proficient in Microsoft Office products• Familiarity with AutoDesk and Trimble products is considered an asset• A minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Foreman• Able to maintain good working relationships with personnel of other departments• Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally• Formal training in construction management would be an asset• The ability to use Bluebeam, AutoDesk products and/or NavisWorks would be an asset• Able to adapt to new systems as they come into practice• Strong understanding of all types of plumbing and mechanical systemsWork Conditions• This is a full-time position• Overtime as required• Walking through uneven grounds on construction sites• Navigating around obstacles on construction sitesWho are you?• You value teamwork and consider yourself a true team player• You represent yourself and your work with passion and pride• You strive to do the right thing, always• You want a challenging yet rewarding positionCompensation: $62/h to $64/h+ 5% RRSP + 100% Employer-paid Extended Health & Dental benefits package + Life Insurance + LTD + Vehicle Allowance + Corporate Phone + Gas Card.Application: Submit your resume, references and desired wage and let us know why you would like to join us.To know more about us, please visit our website Check us out on LinkedIn See our employee reviews on Indeed
