The Registered Nurse functions as a professional within their professional scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurse of Ontario and the RHPA. •Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required
•A minimum of 2 years' current acute medical/surgical (or equivalent) related nursing experience is essential
•Basic arrhythmia interpretation preferred
•Applicants with current acute or critical care nursing experience will be given preference
•Current BCLS/HCP certification is required
•Current ACLS certification and Critical Care certification preferred
•Demonstrated knowledge, sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families
•Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred
•Must have demonstrated an interest in ongoing education in Nursing. An interest and active participation in ICU research initiatives is an expectation.
