Vision Coating Limited is currently recruiting for a Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator to join our team. We welcome and encourage all indigenous persons to apply for this role. This position will report to the Materials Manager.Purchasing Duty:Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master stock code list and issuing purchase orders.Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Monitor and track the status of orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.Resolved shipping discrepancies concerning overages and shortfalls of original purchase ordersInitiate the Return to Supplier Process and follow up with suppliers when defects and damage occur.Maintain and update Supplier Contract Pricing and Current Costs in the System.Inventory Management:1. Regularly communicate with production lead hands to understand current and upcoming material requirements for orders and investigate any material variance.2. Coordinating warehouse and materials-related activities among production, material department, shipping department, and customer service.3. Maintains inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production4. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs.5. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile system records with actual stock.6. Maintain and monitor raw materials and finished goods in the Kanban System. Analyze the requirements of the materials and place orders to replenish when needed.7. Update the inventory management system to reflect the physical count and adjust stock levels accordingly.8. Issue materials to completed jobs according to the Daily Production Summary. Investigate materials variance.9. Review and analyze stock code BOM with historical data as required.Other Duties:Assist with reporting Material Handler's performance weekly and fill out the Performance evaluation matrix.Run materials variance, bin audit, and future free reports weekly to evaluate materials status.Organize and maintain all relevant documents, including the PO requisition, purchase order, packing slip, receiving report, and invoice, for audit purposes.Education- College or university degreeExperience- Work experience in the PVC window and door paint coating industry is required.- Familiar with the window and door profiles and can identify commonly used Vision Extrusion PVC profiles.Skills/Knowledge- Familiar with ERP systems, Syspro knowledge is preferred- Experience in Windows and Door and vinyl extrusion industry preferred- Must be able to work with a team- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills- Detail oriented- Experienced in using Office software- Know about barcode scanning and custom clearance softwareLanguage of Work- EnglishThe Company will offer to the right candidate a Comprehensive Compensation Package that includes Group Health and Dental Benefits as well as a Group RRSP.
