Company: A Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals Company Job Title: Functional Business Consultant – CSMP Program Location: Toronto, ON (with U.S. Pharma Regulatory exposure) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H) preferred; Long-Term Contract acceptable About the Role We are seeking a Functional Business Consultant to support the Controlled Substance Monitoring Program (CSMP) within U.S. Pharma Distribution. This role focuses on sell-side operations, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with major distributors such as Cencora, Cardinal, and CVS. The consultant will work closely with internal teams and regulators to ensure robust monitoring, reporting, and governance for controlled substances. Key Responsibilities Act as a business-side solutions architect, providing structure and governance for CSMP initiatives. Enable tools that allow regulators and internal compliance teams to conduct watchdog reviews and establish data-sharing frameworks. Lead and execute hands-on functional work in SAP and Salesforce (SF)—including configuration, testing, and integration aligned with supply chain business processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to shape orders and influence decisions—not just execute tasks. Engage with senior leadership (VP-level) confidently, providing strategic input and actionable solutions. Required Skills & Experience Proven hands-on functional experience with SAP (OTC) and Salesforce (Sales cloud)—not just oversight or coordination. Consulting background with strong project management (PM) capabilities. Deep understanding of business processes in distribution and pharma—not HR or strategy. Ability to design and implement the toolset for compliance and operational efficiency. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence at executive levels. Familiarity with U.S. Pharma regulatory requirements for controlled substances. Preferred Qualifications Experience in sell-side operations; buy-side exposure is a plus. Exposure to multi-sourced distribution networks (e.g., CVS).
