Job Title: Structural Engineer (Marine) - Hybrid Mode (Vancouver and Quebec Offices)Company OverviewOur client, a prominent global engineering consulting firm, is seeking a skilled Structural Marine Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is available in both Vancouver and Quebec offices and offers a hybrid work mode, allowing for a flexible blend of remote and in-office work.ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our Bridges and Structures team based in Quebec or Vancouver, you will:Design and Development: - Design various types of bridges and structures, contributing to both new constructions and refurbishments. - Assist in the conceptual development of projects, providing innovative and practical engineering solutions.Drafting and Specifications: - Draft detailed plans and specifications for bridge construction, repair, and replacement projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.Numerical Analysis and Calculations: - Conduct numerical analysis and structural calculations to support the design process, ensuring the safety and reliability of structures.Project Management Support: - Assist in project management tasks as required, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with other team members and stakeholders.Experience dealing with Vessel Berthing/Mooring facilitiesExperience working on Ports, Terminals, Coastal structuresRequirementsThe ideal candidate for the Structural Marine Engineer position should have the following qualifications and experience:Educational Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.Professional Experience: Have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, specifically with bridges and structures.Technical skills: Have proficiency in analysis and design software such as ADA, CSiBridge, SAFI, and SAP2000.For applicants in Quebec:- Demonstrate fluency in French (both spoken and written).
