Today, we operate sophisticated transport services from terminals along the Windsor-Quebec City 401 corridor, with a fleet of over 450 owner-operators, and 500+ employees operating out of seven main terminals. *Job Description*
The purpose of this position is the delivery of customer's freight in a productive, safe, error free, and time sensitive manner. The Owner Operator will ensure freight is properly delivered with the proper bill control and supporting documentation.
_*Duties & Responsibilities*_
* Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over long distances.
* Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods.
* Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, brakes and cold storage.
* Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.
* Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
* Administer bills of lading and electronically maintain logbooks.
* Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers.
* May transport hazardous products or dangerous goods.
* All other duties as assigned by Management.
_*Qualifications*_
* 2 years of Commercial Driving Experience
* Own your own truck
* Clean Record
