As Intermediate Mechanical Designer, you will be a team player with the ability to receive and execute instructions from senior staff. Good communication skills, flexibility, ambition, reliability and a willingness to learn are qualities you should possess. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:DutiesDesign of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systemsEngineering load calculations, equipment sizing and selectionProduction of drawings and schematicsCreation and maintenance of project resources for the design teamPreparation of written reports as required including schematic design/ design development reports and feasibility studiesLiaise with equipment suppliers, vendors and manufacturersCoordination with other disciplinesContract administration including issuance of site instructions, review of shop drawings, attendance at regularly scheduled site inspections and production of field review reportsQuality control and quality assurance by following company QA/ QC guidelines and proceduresKeeping up-to-date with current building code and technologiesSkills and Qualifications3-5 years of experienceSolid analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skillsProven ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural and Mechanical drawings and specifications with minimal supervisionTechnically relevant college certificate or university degreeExcellent English written and verbal communication skillsProficiency using MSOffice suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Proficiency using AutoCAD and REVIT softwareFamiliarity with HVAC load calculations for buildingsEligibility for registration with EGBC as a P.
