About the Role: Job Title: Sr. Java Developer Location: Remote About the Role Job Description: Seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices architecture to design, develop, and deploy scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and maintainable solutions in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and integrate Microservices for distributed systems ensuring scalability and fault tolerance. Implement and manage Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and event-driven architecture. Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor services in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and design patterns. Optimize system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high system availability. Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies. Qualifications: 10+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot. Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Proficiency with Kafka or other message streaming platforms. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Salary Range: The salary for this position is between CA$150,000 – CA$160,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
