Overview:We are looking for an Exploration Field Geologist to join our team on a four month contract (June-October). Reporting to the Exploration Manager you will be responsible for carrying out various field activities on our Marathon Project to help fulfill the goals of the 2024 exploration program.Responsibilities:Working on a 2 week on, 1 week off rotation you will:· Oversee field activities such as geological mapping, sampling and trenching programs.· Assist with the interpretation and compilation of field data.· Review and compile historic data in order to generate new prospects.· Assist with the preparation of detailed reports and presentations.· Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while working in the field, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe operating practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Sciences, or a related field.Proven experience conducting geological fieldwork, including mapping, sampling, and data collection, preferably in magmatic sulfide deposits.Ability to work independently while leading small teams in order to meet our goals and timelines.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret geological data using scientific principles and computational tools.Familiarity with geospatial software packages, such as QGIS, or similar.Familiarity with geological modelling software, such as Leapfrog, an asset.Physical fitness and willingness to work in remote locations, adverse weather conditions, and challenging terrain.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Valid ATV/UTV training certificate from an accredited Canada Safety Council training course.
