Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic or Apprentice to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a feet of trucks & trailers to ensure they are in safe and optimal working condition. Your expertise in automotive repair and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and air systems will be essential in performing your duties effectively. Positions are available at more than one of our locations in SE Saskatchewan.

Duties:
- Inspect units to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues
- Diagnose problems using diagnostic tools and schematics
- Repair or replace damaged components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and lights
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire rotations
- - Use power tools and hand tools to complete repairs
- Test repaired units to ensure they meet safety standards
- Provide excellent service by addressing driver concerns and answering questions
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and principles
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Experience working with electrical systems is preferred
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues accurately
- Strong attention to detail to ensure repairs are done correctly
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatch and drivers to explain repairs
