We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our dynamic Fund Operations team to support our rapid growth in the Canadian and Global ETF markets. This is an opportunity to join one of Canada’s most innovative ETF providers. The successful candidate will oversee administrative responsibilities for 100+ ETF products managed by Horizons ETFs Management (Canada) Inc.About Us:Global X is an innovative financial services company with one of the largest suites of exchange traded funds in Canada. Global X is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mirae Asset Financial Group, which manages approximately $800 billion of assets across 13 countries around the world.Responsibilities:Fund OversightProvide oversight on Net Asset Value (NAV) and INAV calculations from the service providerProvide oversight in cash and position reconciliationPrepare and assist with monthly expense internal and external reportingDiagnose issues related to fund valuation and fund reportingSupport in the implementation of complex transactions, product launches, closures and other initiativesParticipate in process improvement initiativesFinancial Reporting:Support in the preparation and production of the interim and annual financial statements, and management reports of fund performance (MRFP)Review financial statement working papers from an external providerPrepare and review calculations for notes to the financial statement and MRFPsCoordinate annual fund audit requestsSupport in prospectus renewalsFund distribution and tax reporting:Prepare the calculation of monthly distributions, rebates, management fees, and administrative feesCalculation of year-end distributions of income, capital gains and related tax issuesPrepare annual T3 factors to internal and external parties and other CRA filings as requiredRequirements:University degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 2-3 years of related work experienceMS Office proficiency with advanced Excel skills as Excel usage will be a major component of the roleProgramming proficiency in VBA and Python experience is an asset.Good working knowledge of ETFs and accounting principlesOrganized, analytical, action-oriented individual with strong project-planning skillsAbility to process and apply new skills and concepts quicklyAble to work with precision and meet tight deadlinesStrong technical and analytical skills; experience within ETF operations preferredKnowledge of Canadian taxation, IFRS and the mutual fund industry is an assetWhat we Offer:Competitive compensation packageA collaborative and supportive work environmentIncredible opportunities for professional development and growthThe opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the financial well-being of Canadian investorsTo Apply: Please send your resume and cover letter to HR@globalx.caGlobal X is an equal-opportunity employer and is committed to providing a respectful, welcoming and accessible environment for all people.
