Iris's client, one of the leading Banking Client, is looking to hire a Senior Business Data Analyst for the following role. Work Location - Toronto ON (Hybrid Onsite – 2 to 3 day’s a week)


We are seeking a Business Data Analyst with strong expertise in Capital Markets and SQL to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial products, data analysis, and business processes within the capital markets domain. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data engineers to gather and analyze requirements.


~ Perform detailed data analysis and validation using SQL and other data tools.


~ Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications.


~ Support reporting, data modeling, and analytics initiatives for Capital Markets functions.


~ Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets to drive business insights.


~ Work closely with cross-functional teams (Front Office, Risk, Treasury, Operations) to ensure data consistency and integrity.


~ Participate in testing and implementation of system enhancements or data solutions.


~ Prepare documentation, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and business users.


5+ years of experience as a Business/Data Analyst in financial services.


~ Strong understanding of Capital Markets – products such as Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, or FX.


~ Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation, and analysis.


~ Experience with Data Mapping etc.
