We are seeking a highly skilled Stress Engineer with strong experience in the preliminary sizing phase of Part 23/25 metallic fuselage structures . The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the structural architecture of the aircraft by working closely with the design team in a fast-paced development environment . This role requires deep technical expertise, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to translate conceptual requirements into robust structural solutions.
Collaborate closely with the design team to guide structural architecture, joint design, load paths, and material/geometry selections.
Interpret loads derived from the aircraft GFEM and assess their impact on structural sizing.
Develop or refine engineering tools, methods, and calculation templates to improve analysis efficiency and consistency.
Prepare technical documentation, including calculation reports, design justifications, and compliance evidence.
10+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis, including preliminary sizing of metallic fuselage or airframe structures.
~ Strong knowledge of classical structural design and analysis methods, including familiarity with industry-standard references such as Bruhn, Niu, and Roark's Formulas for Stress and Strain.
~ Proficiency with CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) CAD environments.
~ Strong analytical skills and engineering judgment, with the ability to balance technical rigor and development speed.
~ Programming skills in Python/VBA are considered an asset.
