Logistics CoordinatorOur client an asset based 3rd party logistics company is currently searching for a Logistics Coordinator in the Vaughan area. Great opportunity to work with an awesome teamResponsibilities:Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTLWork on dedicated rail accounts as necessarySource carriersTrack loads and provide customers with up-to-date informationManage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customersLiaise with customers and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointmentsRespond quickly to spot quotesEnsure TMS contains current and complete dataBe available after hours to assist with resolving issuesFollow up on delivery delays or security issuesEnsure closure of all orders in the TMS systemGrow and maintain existing and new carrier or customer relationshipsPreform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 2 years logistics or dispatch experience in the transportation industryExperience in cross boarder shipping, full-truckload as well as less-than-truckloadAbility to make quick decisionsStrong attention to detailsAbility to manage time effectively and multi-taskEffective teamwork skillsAbility to effectively handle multiple conflicting prioritiesStrong communication, customer service and computer skillsAbility to build rapport with both carriers and customers
