Position: Bilingual Commercial Contract SpecialistType: Full Time, PermanentLocation: Brampton, ONThe Contract Analyst is responsible for evaluating, negotiating, and managing contractual agreements. This role involves assessing legal and financial aspects of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders to optimize contract terms and conditions.ACCOUNTABILITIES Contract Evaluation:Prepare, administer, and efficiently close out contracts, managing change orders and amendments as necessary to ensure smooth contract management throughout all stages of the lifecycle.Manage all commercial activities related to assigned contracts to ensure consistency with contract terms and conditions and mitigate potential risks effectively.Develop and deliver comprehensive reports and metrics, including detailed spend evaluations, cost comparisons, and risk assessments, enabling well-informed business decisions.Support contract compliance efforts and facilitate audits by engaging with auditors, providing necessary documentation, and addressing findings and recommendations promptly and effectively.Negotiation Management:Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms for the organization.Employ effective communication and negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements.Optimize contractual conditions to enhance the company's financial and operational interests.Optimizing Terms and Conditions:Continuously assess and refine contract terms to align with organizational objectives.Manage contract template support activities, including contract management, repository organization, project management, and playbook development to align with template changes.Stay informed about industry trends, utilizing benchmarking and feedback for continuous improvement.Ensure contracts remain adaptable and supportive of the company's evolving needs and goals.Receive refer inquiries, and answer general questions for internal and external partners.Perform other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS4-5 years of contract management experience with a university degree or related post-secondary educationPractical experience with contract development, including exposure to negotiating contract terms and conditionsExcellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills in EnglishExperienced in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point and WordExcellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver a high-quality work product.Proficiency in French is mandatory.DCM will provide:A comprehensive training program which includes detailed orientation to the company, our departments, our leadership group, clients, and examples of our wide array of customer problem solving solutionsAn exciting career path that continues to challenge and reward you year after yearA dynamic and engaging workplace that offers a wide range of solutions to our clientsA stable yet evolving organization with a reputation for exceeding our customers’ expectationsAn environment that will foster personal and professional growth and the opportunity for you to succeedFull-time employment with access to a wide variety of benefits such as: health and dental, personal well-being, vacation, retirement savings, and an employee share ownership program.Data Communications Management Corporation is committed to equal employment opportunity, employs and does not discriminate against all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or any other classification protected by applicable federal and provincial laws.
