New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Project Manager to help our client lead the implementation of a Corporate Project Management Information System (PMIS) on a major capital project.Responsibilities:Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders.Defining guiding principles for the project.Establishing effective and appropriate project governance.Developing full-scale project management plan, implementation plan and associated communications documents.Identifying the priority modules for system implementation.Developing an acceptance criteria and process for the pilot implementation.Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.Defining the process for reviewing, sign-off, and testing of business requirements.Estimating and identifying the resources and participants required to achieve project goals.Ensuring proper financial management of the project.Ensuring proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective mitigation strategy.Identifying opportunities to standardize business requirements and processes across the various departments.Validating the business requirements for corporate implementation, including integration requirements with other existing systems.Developing a sustainment and support model for the corporate system.Developing key project deliverables, including:Project charterProject management planCorporate implementation planAcceptance criteriaBusiness requirements document and work breakdown structureProject logs (including stakeholder register and RAID log)Monthly status reportsRequirements:10+ years of project management experience.Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, knowledge areas and tools.Experience in planning, implementing and supporting a PMIS or other corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for a large utility, municipal or government organization.Strong ability to document, analyze and assess business processes, system interactions and to propose consolidated alternative business processes.Thorough knowledge of problem definition and analysis related to business processes and systems planning.Considerable knowledge of information technology components, processes and developments related to the work performed.Considerable knowledge of the functions of departments served and their requirements in information technology.Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement in a large multidisciplinary organization.Excellent organization and presentation skills.Ability to influence and foster an environment of shared accountability.Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with Trimble e-Builder or other Project Management Information Systems is an asset.Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) designations are an asset.In addition, this position requires the ability to:Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contactsProvide advice and assistance on matters related to the workCommunicate effectively orally and in writingPerform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be givenMaintain confidentialityIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
