HaiLa is building ultra-low power radio communications solutions that will eliminate the need for batteries in wireless communication devices by offering a product that is hyper-power efficient and can run indefinitely from harvested energy. Our mission is to enable Ambient Power IoT with sensing everywhere on existing protocols such as Wi-Fi.This is an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Administrator to join our dynamic and diverse team You will be working directly with the VP of Engineering to create and evolve a CI/CD framework and support HaiLa’s software and hardware development efforts.Based in Montreal, HaiLa is supported by leading sustainability-focused venture investors as well as Stanford University and Murata Electronics.Description:HaiLa’s Engineers develop the next-generation wireless technologies dedicated to unlocking the vast potential of the Internet of Things. HaiLa’s chipsets focus on ultra-low power Wi-Fi.As a DevOps Administrator, you will work alongside the teams responsible for creating HaiLa’s firmware and software stacks and be a fundamental part of our validation effort. This position involves building up and maintaining HaiLa’s networked services.The scope of this work includes building our CI/CD framework, evolving our networking architecture, and maintaining existing networked services.We need our engineers to be versatile and passionate with an ability to tackle new problems as we continue to push technology forward. The ideal candidate must have exceptional problem-solving skills, be adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership.Responsibilities:Install and evolve a CI/CD framework based on TeamCity and Git.Work closely with developers and other teams to create build configurations for software packages and validation testing.Take responsibility for all software builds. This includes communicating with teams about build breakages and regressions.Git maintenance, including creating new depos, managing existing depos, and integrating them with TeamCity.Support development of a software and hardware regression framework.Evolve and maintain our networking infrastructure.Some basic qualificationsDemonstrable experience with installing and maintaining CI/CD services, specifically installing and working with TeamCity and Git.Demonstrable experience with network management, including experience with enterprise switches, firewalls, and debugging network issues.Good understanding of software development methodologies, including code review, release cycles, continuous integration, and regression testing.Excellent knowledge of Linux CLI environments, especially with reference to server maintenance.The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex ideas.In-office presence is required at our Montreal location.At least three years of experience in a similar DevOps position.
