Job descriptionJob Summary:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 Driver Instructor to join our team. As a Driver Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the necessary skills and knowledge to become safe and confident drivers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives by helping them develop essential driving skills.Responsibilities:- Teach students the rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and safe driving practices- Demonstrate proper driving techniques and maneuvers- Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their driving skillsfor mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving- Maintain accurate records for Alberta Transportation- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to studentsRequirements:- Valid Class 5 Driver Instructor license from Alberta Transportation- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations- Proven experience as a Class 5 Driver Instructor- Ability to be patient with new drivers and teach in a calm but effective manner- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and parents- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision-teach various parking manoeuvres, safe driving skills and preventative measures to ensure traffic laws are adhered to.-at least 1 year experience as an instructorBenefits:- Competitive pay based on experience- flexible hours- can book your own times and datesIf you meet the requirements above and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding career as a Driver Instructor, we encourage you to apply.
