Join us and work with fantastic people, while learning and developing yourself on projects that have a real impact to our communities and society.They are actively seeking a Project Site Manager for a project based in Northern Quebec in Chibougamau.This position is responsible for managing electromechanical construction. This role will coordinate the work of internal and external resources to ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. The work will primarily be North America site locations with travel required.Responsibilities:Direct and supervise field activities. Responsible for coordinating and managing field activities in all phases (construction planning, equipment delivery, installation and assembly, commissioning etc.) from field start-up to handover to the customer.Interaction with internal (including overseas) and subcontractors will be required to manage whether contracts/quality/delivery/safety, etc are performed in accordance with standards.This position is an on-site SV activity as an equipment manufacturer and does not perform the construction work. The workstyle is somewhat like 60% onsite and 40% in the office.Living our client’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Plan on-site project activities related to the assigned discipline with other managers including coordinating necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinate between customer and external resources on installation/construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.Coordinating all on-site activities related to the assigned discipline to ensure the successful execution of start-up, installation/construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.Serve as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations.Manage sub-contractors on site to ensure necessary quality and progress achieved to meet delivery date and agreed standards.Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of processes and/or procedures.Participate as a member of project teams to assist in the development of the project schedule for construction and outages and provide technical guidance for installation activities.Qualifications:Bachelors in Electrical/Mechanical engineering, or equivalent skillsMinimum 6+ years’ experience as Site Manager in construction and/or installation businessGood understanding of the transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.Proactive and flexible personalityExcellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and French.Ability to read and understand protection and electrical drawings and technical documents.Ability to communicate effectively and act decisively.Broad knowledge of diverse field service operations and ability to independently resolve complex problems.Foresight to anticipate problems and recognize opportunities for cost-effectively improving operations.Independently plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.Familiar with substation design, grounding, means and methods of operation for transmission and distribution systemsRequired Travel: up to 85%Application Process:All Qualified candidates will be contacted.InVision is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Prohibits Discrimination and Harassment of Any Kind:It is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
