Our client located in the Hamilton area has an immediate opportunity for a Director of Finance to join their team This role will work collaboratively with the CFO, effectively leading the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis. The Director of Finance will oversee the full accounting process including the monthly accounting cycle, budgeting and cash flow forecasting, ensuring business policies, accounting standards, and profit objectives are met. We would like to thank all applicants however only those under consideration will be contacted.Responsibilities: Supervise all aspects of finance and accounting functions, this includes effectively supporting the finance teamLead the process of producing accurate and timely monthly financial statements to analyze and report on financial performanceDevelop and implement effective accounting policies, internal control policies and proceduresAssist in the preparation of strategic plansCoordinate the company’s year-end closing and external reviewAct as a point of contact for the CRA and external auditorsManage audits, investigations, reviews of corporate tax, HST remittances and annual external reviews and auditsServe as Project Manager for any system implementation or upgradesAdditional duties as required for optimal performance of the organizationQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting and CPA designation is requiredMinimum of 5 years of financial leadership experienceStrong system skills are essential for success in this position, prior experience with system implementation and/or upgrades is required.Hands on knowledge of SAGE/ACCPAC is strongly preferred.This position requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentHybrid work arrangement: 4 days in-office and 1 day remote
