Due to growth within our company, *we are seeking an experienced Sales and Design person to join our sales and design team in Waterloo*. Our sales and design staff are integral members of the Chervin family and facilitate a key step in the journey of bringing our clients’ dreams to life. Chervin’s sales and design staff bring attention to detail and quality craftsmanship into every Chervin product.This is a full-time position with 44 hours a week. Wage commensurate with experience. Benefits are provided after the 3-month probationary period.*WHO WE ARE*Since 1991, Chervin has been *designing, manufacturing, and installing high-end custom cabinetry* in homes across Waterloo Region. Over the years, Chervin has expanded to serve the GTA and Muskoka region. Chervin has also built and acquired 4 sister companies which have given us the opportunity to be a key player in the markets for luxury hotel furniture, residential furniture, custom upholstered furniture, and home décor.We are a family-owned and family-run business with a team of over 200 individuals pursuing “The Golden Means of Perfection”. We are growing every year, and we would love to have you join our team of cabinetmakers on the exciting journey ahead.*WHAT YOU’LL DO** Professionally represent Chervin and confidently introduce them to our quality products* Lead homeowners through a solution-oriented process, creating their dream millwork project* Combine your design and sales experience with the endless opportunities for creativity, function, storage, and workspace* Comfortable meeting with clients and contractors/builders on construction sites* Provide accurate drawings for clients, contractors, and production* Maintain knowledge of current trends, materials, techniques, and other developments in design* Collaborate with other team members to ensure project requirements are met* Provide superior service to ensure the customer’s dreams come to reality* Exceptional residential design that include space planning, custom architectural detailing and features design, custom millwork design, working drawings, selections and valuable consulting to a high-end clientele.* Qualify clients, execute design consultations*WHAT YOU’LL BRING** 7 + years of millwork sales and design experience is required* Experience with creative millwork design* A sales driven attitude with a love of design* Knowledge of the key players in home building, design, and renovations in Waterloo and the surrounding area* Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors* Ability to measure and understand limitations of spaces and present solutions* A proper understanding of blueprints* Confident with conducting site visits and taking accurate site measurements* Knowledge of the cabinet-building process* A working knowledge of computers and software related to custom millwork* Strong verbal and written English communication skills* A passion for the core values that are the foundation of our companyJob Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Casual dress* Company events* Dental care* Disability insurance* Employee assistance program* Extended health care* On-site parking* RRSP match* Vision careSchedule:* Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:* Commission payExperience:* sales: 7 years (preferred)Work Location: In person
