Chief Engineer (2nd Class) Location: Mississauga, ON
Industry: Global CPG Manufacturing Company
Our client, a leading global consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturer, is seeking a Chief Engineer (2nd Class) to oversee daily plant operations and ensure safe, efficient performance of all utilities and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise with ammonia and boiler systems, and a valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer License .
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of the plant’s utility systems, including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, and compressed air systems .
Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to boiler, refrigeration, and air systems.
Collaborate with plant management to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
3–5 years of experience as a 2nd Class Operating Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
~ Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration , boiler operations , and compressed air systems .
