We are Systematix and we are looking to hire an Electrical Engineering Technician on a contract basis for 1 year starting early July, 2024, for our global Life Sciences client based in Vaughan, just north of Toronto. This role is on-siteKey Responsibilities:Development and operation of engineering-grade test fixtures under the supervision of Electrical Designers.Execution of qualification testing for new hardware.Debug & Repair PCBA and Fixtures as required by Electrical Designers.Design and build Electromechanical assemblies such as Cables and Load boxes.Work with Electrical Designers and parts procurement specialists to assess suitability/availability of electronic components for hardware development.Support the procurement & kitting aspects of electronic components in transit to our rapid prototype PCBA vendors.Upkeep of frequently used laboratory stock for research-grade & engineering-grade development work. Key Requirements:Electrical Engineering Technologist's diploma or higher, or its equivalent. Strong practical electrical experience is an important asset.Experience working within a research-grade or engineering rapid-prototyping environment.Proficiency in using generic electrical development tools such as bench multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators.Demonstrate SMD and Through-hole soldering experience.Basic drafting skills with Mechanical CAD software like AutoCAD or Catia or SolidWorks.Preferred Skills:Proficiency with the MS OFFICE tool suite (e.g., EXCEL, Word, PowerPoint).Experience in using specialized electrical development tools such as High-bandwidth Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Network/Spectrum/Impedance analyzers.Familiarity with basic mechanical concepts and hands-on experience in building electromechanical assemblies.Key Attributes:Proactive, results-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to be part of a larger team.Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.ABOUT THE ROLE:This is a 1-year contract role, on-site in Vaughan.APPLY NOW:If you are interested in finding out more, please contact us or submit your resume.
