As a QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance for our web-based SaaS applications. Your focus will be on manual testing, test plan creation, and execution. Your passion for technology will thrive here, where your skills and ambitions will be nurtured and expanded.This role is a hybrid position where you'll be required to come into our North York, Toronto office 3 times a week.ResponsibilitiesReview, requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackCreate a detailed and comprehensively structured test plan and coordinate testing activitiesEstimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activitiesDesign, develop, and execute an automation script using open-source toolsIdentify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsLiaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirementsMonitor debugging process resultsInvestigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to deliver high-quality softwareTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect countsStay up to date with new testing tools and test strategiesSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldRelevant certifications in software testing are considered an assetHands-on experience with ASP.NET and C#Keen attention to detailStrong multitasking skills to transition between jobs without compromising quality standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a team.Time management and organization skillsProblem-solving skills to find solutions for various quality issuesSolid knowledge of Git, Postman/Swagger, Fiddler, Figma, and Testing Management Systems (Zephyr, TestRail, etc.)Proficiency in SQL and database testingExperience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts or knowledge of performing testing tools and methodologies.Why work at iLobby?iLobby is the global leader in enterprise visitor management, helping complex enterprises digitize, optimize, and automate their key facility process – from streamlined visitor management to emergency evacuation, our Facility OS Platform is cutting edge and driving significant value with our customers.We work hard and play hard and we do both with passion and respect for one another.
