As a key member of the SE Health clinical team at Taylor View Towers Red Deer, the Therapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) will work with resident to increase their health and wellness. Your passion is to use your caregiver knowledge, skill and judgment to provide integrated and holistic rehabilitation care to meet the physical, safety, emotional and spiritual needs of people of all ages and care needs.
Assist the supervising physiotherapist/occupational therapist in performing various components of the treatment plans for individuals living in residential care communities
Perform various treatments as prescribed and directed by the supervising Physiotherapist including but not limited to gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, application of modalities. (Maintain regular ongoing communication with the supervising therapist (OT/PT) regarding any changes or concerns about a resident’s status or treatment interventions
Experience working in a Supportive Living or Long Term Care home is an asset
Availability to work flexible hours
