We are seeking a talented technical leader with original ideas and the passion to realize them.Position Overview: As the Game Development Lead at WildCard Games, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of gaming experiences. You will lead a team of talented Unity developers and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including artists, designers, and engineers, to create captivating gameplay mechanics, stunning visual effects, and seamless player experiences.Responsibilities:Technical Leadership:Lead the design and implementation of Unity games, ensuring quality, decomposition.Architect and maintain scalable, modular, and efficient code for current and future projects.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in development processes.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.Team Collaboration:Lead and mentor a team of Unity developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Work closely with other leads, producers, and designers to understand project requirements and contribute to the overall game vision.Collaborate with product and game designers to design and build efficient features that can be delivered in a timely fashion.Collaborate with technical stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between client and backend components.Work closely with QA to identify and address bugs, ensuring the highest level of product quality.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and discuss technical solutions.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.Proven experience as a mobile Unity developer with at least 5 years of experience and shipped at least two games from start to finish.Previous experience in a leadership or lead developer role.Strong understanding of Unity3D, C#, and object-oriented programming.Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.Experience with performance and optimization tools.Familiarity with version control systems, such as perforce.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Bonus Skills:Experience with multiplayer game development.Familiarity with shader programming.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.A creative and collaborative work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Stock OptionsSupplementary Medical Insurance with Dental and Vision & Dependant CoverageRRSP with 6% matchUnlimited PTOHybrid work environmentIf you are passionate about creating exceptional gaming experiences and leading a talented team of developers, we invite you to join WildCard Games in Montreal.
