Delcor Engineering is actively seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team and participate in a wide range of projects across Canada. Eng will gain valuable experience in the Civil Engineering industry involving heavy civil project design including design of foundations, structural steel buildings and mezzanines. The Engineer will plan, schedule and or complete complex engineering assignments requiring judgment, and independent evaluation. Perform structural analysis on concrete, steel and cold-form designs for a wide range of mezzanine projects using SAP2000, ETABS, and TEKLA. Draft structural foundation drawings using CAD and Advance Steel and write technical reports.
· When necessary, carry out site inspections and field reviews.
· Coordinate and manage time spent on design tasks to meet established project-specific work plans.
· When necessary, correspond/communicate with contractors.
· Complete review of shop drawings, mezzanine plans, and foundation drawings for permit and construction.
· Uses initiative and judgment to resolve problems, interprets engineering specifications, investigates design and field engineering difficulties and coordinates work schedules.
· Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, designers, and engineers.
· When necessary, resolve disputes and conflicts related to assigned projects and clients alongside the administrative department.

Bachelor of Civil Engineering from an accredited university (Required) with focus on Structural Engineering (Masters in Structural Engineering is an asset)
· within the Province of Ontario in Civil or Structural Engineering (Required)
· In depth knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), the Ontario Building code (OBC) and the CSA S16 (knowledge of the CHBDC is an asset)
· Experience with Pre-Engineered steel buildings, mezzanines and foundation design.
· Experience in various foundation designs including floating slab, pier foundation and piles
· A solid understanding of structural analysis design in steel and foundation modeling
· Knowledge of project planning, procurement, and construction phases
· Working knowledge of building materials, construction techniques and relevant CSA codes
· thrives on learning and advancing engineering knowledge
· Ability to work and complete tasks independently, make decisions and take responsibility for technical matters. Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 Advanced Steel and TEKLA
· Professional Stamps in other provinces and regions is an asset.
· A valid driver's license, and reliable transportation.
· Monday-Friday (40 hours/week)
