We achieve this by continuing to produce innovative solutions, all backed by cutting-edge technology and a dedicated team of forward thinkers.Job SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing insightful analysis and recommendations to influence initiatives in the business and play a key role in the annual operating budget, forecasting and multi-year planning process and will support programs and the Leadership team by providing evidence based-analysis for effective decision-making.Duties & Responsibilities: Analyze and present trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expendituresSupport continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling toolsImplement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reportsDevelop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiativesAnalyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesTranslates raw data into meaningful dashboards, trends, reports and strategic recommendations to enable evidence based decision making with regards to financial, operational and complement data.Prepare a monthly reporting package that includes key financial information, comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, operational Dashboard reporting, analysis of key performance drivers and business trends, actual versus budget variances, and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences.Benchmark program against industry peers. Identify and analyze savings opportunities.Responsible for maintaining corporate scorecardsSupport other functional projects such as customs & tax compliance.Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Bachelor's Degree or above in Business, Accounting, Finance or Statistics Good knowledge of IFRSAdvanced knowledge in Excel and BI toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlinesSuperior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude with an orientation for growth and learningCompetency Profile Self-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional developmentAbility to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly, problem-solve and to manage changing prioritiesAbility to think creativelyAbility to follow policies and procedures; Complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; support organization's goals and values; Benefit organization through outside activities; Support affirmative action and respects diversityAbility to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Look for ways to improve and promote quality; Apply feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure qualityBackground Experiences 4+ years of relevant business / financial analysis experience with progressive roles and responsibilitiesAbility to work with a large datasetStrong excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tablesExtensive experience with financial modelling and analysis techniquesPrevious experience in large consumer electronics organizations and e-commerce as a Finance Analyst, would be an asset Experience with SAP, Power BI and Shopify will be considered an assetLorex welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
