We’re hiring We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Email and SMS Marketing Associate to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will primarily focus on managing our email, SMS, and loyalty marketing channels to engage with our existing customers and drive retention efforts. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and possesses a deep understanding of customer behaviour and retention strategies.The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty, a deep understanding of online consumer behaviour, a strong sense of curiosity, and a track record of success in growing/managing subscriber lists.This is a full-time position based in Toronto, ON, with a flexible start date. While our team primarily operates remotely, you'll be required to attend in-person co-working days twice a week at our downtown office. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESAs the owner of our retention channels, you will develop and execute email, SMS, and rewards marketing strategies to drive customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value.Create compelling, personalized content and campaigns that resonate with our target audience from start to finish - including briefing, coordinating assets, quality assurance, scheduling, testing, and reporting.Segment customer data and utilize insights to optimize and personalize targeting, messaging, and timing of communications.Collaborate with the customer service team to gather insights to optimize our automated flows and customer rewards/loyalty program, integrating into the full customer journey.Monitor key performance metrics and analyze campaign results to identify opportunities for optimization and growth, reporting on actuals vs plan each month.Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, including design, product, and customer service, to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve our retention marketing efforts.WHO YOU AREYou are a strategic thinker with a passion for creativity and data-driven decision-making.You have a keen eye for detail and ability to craft compelling, personalized content, pivoting last minute if needed to drive the best outcomesYou are deeply passionate about the skincare industry and enhancing customer confidence through impactful marketing efforts.You’re a real self-starter who thrives on collaboration – you display a strong sense of ownership and agility, keep the bigger picture in-focus, and aren’t afraid to roll-up your sleeves to get the job done. You are willing to put in the time and effort to get things done right and take pride in what you do and getting results.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.2-3 years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, or retention marketing roles.Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp) and SMS marketing tools.Experience executing customer rewards or loyalty program is an asset, but not required. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative and engaging marketing campaigns.Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Passion for skincare and beauty industry trends is a plus.HOW TO APPLYSend your resume and optionally include a cover letter to apply@threeshipsbeauty.com.
