Job title: EHS Manager
Industry: Food Manufacturing
Reporting to: HR Director
The candidate is responsible for ensuring the improvement of health and safety performance, the development of occupational health and safety prevention programs as well as those of environmental compliance for the site.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
● Implement a strategic health and safety plan in line with corporate and internal objectives
● Facilitate the OHS Committee
● Act as a change agent with employees and management with a view to continuous improvement
● Manage the health and safety specialist
● Measure changes in health and safety performance and recommend corrective plans
● Ensures compliance and implementation of policies, internal procedures and legislative requirements in health and safety and the environment
● Act as a resource person with external stakeholders and the corporate group
● Carry out various health and safety audits
● Support managers in the application of health and safety programs
EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelors degree in human resources management or industrial relations or a certificate in health and safety with relevant experience
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing field with similar functions
● Excellent French and a functional level of spoken and written English
