We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineering Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and management of our cloud infrastructure. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design, implementation and ongoing support of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures with a focus on optimizing performance for .NET applications.
  • On occasion, work with clients to ensure swift adoption of Avanti’s product, and make recommendations based on client needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cloud trends and evaluate their potential for use within Avanti’s ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform and DSC.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and identify root causes using New Relic APM and infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Lead service monitoring initiatives, ensuring best practices are followed for alerting of potential issues and coordinated response.
  • Collaborate with other team members, developers, security teams and DevOps to ensure successful and timely delivery of Avanti services to our clients.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers and administrators on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Regularly review existing systems and processes and make recommendations for improvements
  • Document technical solutions and cloud infrastructure for future reference and knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in IaC code reviews and ensure adherence to cloud security and performance best practices.
  • Develop and implement proof-of-concept (POC) projects to test new cloud solutions.


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 7 years designing, developing, and managing cloud infrastructure on a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). However, preference given to Azure experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
  • Expert level understanding of the inner workings of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Entra ID
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, such as IP addressing, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience in building and deploying cloud solutions for .NET applications (preferred).
  • Understanding of database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong communication skills and effective time management capabilities to ensure success in a fast paced work environment.
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide other team members.
