 Our firm is currently seeking an experienced Associate to join the team. We are currently recruiting a hardworking and enthusiastic Litigation Lawyer. 

  

Role Description 

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter that will work independently and either comes as an Associate or has their own practice, with an interest in taking on additional files. You are hardworking and client-focused with a proven track record of obtaining desired results for your clients while meeting deadlines. We are looking to add a lawyer with first-class interpersonal and communication skills that can anticipate potential risks and legal issues. 

  

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience practicing in civil litigation 
  • Must be a member and in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta 
  • Law degree from accredited University 
  • In-depth understanding of provincial and federal laws, court procedures, evidentiary laws, and up to date on case laws to navigate the justice system efficiently and competently 
  • Strong creative thinking and analytical skills to develop a legal strategy, analyze case law and litigate complex cases 
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills, combined with tough negotiating skills 
  • Strong drafting skills and attention to detail 
  • Proven track record of building client cases and establishing strong defense 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to attract and retain clients is essential 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities
