Senior Conversational AI Product Designer

Alexi is an artificial intelligence company building applications for legal professionals. We are a fast-growing, well-funded startup with customers in the United States and Canada.


We are looking for a Conversational AI Product Designer to help build beautiful and natural conversation flows for AI applications in the legal industry. The candidate combines conversational design and AI experience with a deep knowledge of human language and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). In this role, you will invent and design leading-edge conversational experiences and AI agent interactions while adhering to best practices in conversational design.


Responsibilities


  • Engage with domain experts to understand user needs and product value
  • Analyze customer journeys and AI agent interactions to maximize user experiences across all products and functionalities
  • Engage across teams in AI, Engineering, Product, and Marketing to assist in building and implementing product strategy and for today and scalability for the future
  • Write effective and natural dialogues
  • Create demos and mock-ups, wireframes, and templates that clearly convey the conversation design to both external and internal teams


Requirements


  • 4-6 years of experience in designing text-enabled interaction flows, preferably in conversational AI or chatbot design spaces
  • Experience designing for Assistant, AI, machine learning, or AR/VR products
  • Experience partnering with other designers, product managers and engineers
  • Experience balancing user needs and technical requirements
  • Experience creating multiple demos or prototypes showcasing the bleeding-edge capabilities of conversational design
  • Experience communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences
  • Experience with working directly with client stakeholders of all levels
  • Experience using agile development practices
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A desire for some in-office collaboration
