Job Title: Junior Technical Specialist - Healthcare Clinic Support Team
Location: Hybrid-Markham (Office location)
Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours a week)
Overview:
Join our dynamic tech startup as a Junior Technical Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of dental IT support across Ontario. Based in Ontario, you will be central to maintaining and enhancing the network infrastructure of our expanding list of dental clinics. This position demands a technically adept individual who thrives in network management and system administration, dedicated to ensuring operational efficiency and robust security. In this role, your contributions will be crucial in maintaining reliable IT operations that enable seamless clinical workflows and elevate patient care experiences. As we grow our presence across Canada, your role will be key in supporting our mission to deliver top-tier IT support to the dental industry.
Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Efficiently diagnose and resolve network issues to maintain high availability and security
- Virtualization: Manage and optimize virtual environments using Proxmox/ Hyper-V/ Vmware to ensure performance and scalability
- Security Oversight: Administer Active Directory and enforce security policies to protect data and network operations
- Data Integrity: Implement robust data backup strategies to prevent data loss and support business continuity
- System Maintenance: Manage regular updates and maintenance of hardware and software to ensure technology meets modern performance standards. Visit clinics and maintain customer relations with clients
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in network and system administration
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of network infrastructure, virtualization technologies, Active Directory and technical hardware knowledge
- Professional Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, with proficiency in both verbal and written formats
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are desirable.
