Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Recreation Lead at Parkdale Place Housing Society located in Summerland, BC. As a Recreation Lead, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational activities for residents. Your role will involve creating engaging and inclusive programs, coordinating events and outings, and promoting social interaction and mental well-being among residents. You will also ensure the safety and comfort of participants during activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recreation or a related field
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Creativity and innovative thinking in program development
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
• Ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of residents
• Knowledge of local community resources and recreational opportunities
• Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain a class 4 license.
