Bellwoods Brewery is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join our Toronto-based team. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing the brand strategy across all product launches and initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing our brand voice, positioning, and messaging, as well as leading strategic planning for content development, communications, and trade activations. 


A successful candidate should have experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns while managing and inspiring a team. Our ideal candidate is equally proficient in day-to-day marketing activities and long-term strategizing, is a respectful communicator, has a keen eye for detail, and is enthusiastic about the creative aspects that go into marketing, selling, and manufacturing the products we make.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that delivers across all channels (retail/in-store, e-commerce, email, digital marketing/paid media, trade, PR, local community/hospitality)
  • Lead marketing initiatives, with the awareness of competitor/market trends and category opportunities. Establish campaign objectives + KPIs in collaboration with the Head of Sales to deliver into shared goals
  • Oversee the marketing team, conducting regular team meetings and providing ongoing support
  • Collaborate with the internal and external creative team to develop compelling visuals and multimedia content
  • Develop brand and product copy and ensure it aligns with our tone and messaging guidelines
  • Develop, execute, and budget for trade marketing campaigns, including brand activations, sampling, events, brand assets, and sales tools
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across the organization, including production, sales, and hospitality
  • Set specific objectives and lead marketing analysis, sharing reports across the cross-functional teams and using results to inform and adjust strategy for future initiatives
  • Actively participate in copywriting and the creation of social media content, including product descriptions, photography, and filming and editing videos for platforms like Instagram and TikTok


Qualifications: Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Completed Post Secondary Degree in Marketing or related field of study
  • 3-5 years of marketing experience in a team leadership role
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
  • An energetic, creative, forward-thinking individual who has their pulse on the future of marketing
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work both autonomously and in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Google Docs/Sheets, and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, Premiere Rush, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign)
