North Horizon Holdings Inc. is a well capitalized private company located in Toronto seeking global investment opportunities including alternative investments such as private equity, real estate, and hedge funds. The Head of Risk Analytics role directly reports to the Chief Risk Officer. This role will oversee the risk analytics of North Horizon as well as its affiliated companies in Toronto.

What will you do in this role?


  • data and information to provide risk-related insights and recommendations for the total investment portfolios as well as individual business portfolios
  • risk analysis for new business and new initiatives to support Senior Management’s decision-making process.
  • risk measures and risk models relevant to our investment portfolios.
  • and produces regular and ad-hoc risk reports, and dashboards. And provides clear, concise verbal and oral communications to all stakeholders.
  • ad hoc independent analysis and assessments to investigate and resolve strategic risk issues and recommends solutions, including ad hoc analyses for the CRO, the Board, Business or strategic initiatives.
  • analytical supports to other risk functions within North Horizon and its affiliates.


What do you need to succeed?


Must-have

  • A risk analytics expert with 15+ years of experience in Financial Industry of North America
  • Strong coding and modeling skills, especially related to various capital markets products
  • Experience in constructing and processing large amount of risk data
  • Able to think strategically. To possess the authority to monitor the performance of Risk Owners.
  • Ability to write / revise policies and guidelines and maintain Risk Register.
  • Ability to quickly understand the various functional / departmental requirements.
  • Skilled in analysis and review of reports and making presentations to Senior Management.

Nice-to-have

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field is desirable.
  • CFA designation is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
