Contract: Intermediate Communications Graphic Designer

The Role: 

As an Intermediate Communications Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role on our creative team, contributing to advanced design projects that elevate our visual style. We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong portfolio, extensive knowledge of design, and the ability to bring creative concepts to life. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working directly with our Communications team.

SLD is seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our dynamic creative team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Creative Director and be responsible for producing high-quality digital designs across a variety of projects to support SLD’s marketing and communications, including web pages, social media posts, newsletters, and presentations. You’ll be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring design consistency and meeting deadlines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and Ideate: Work directly with the Creative Director to brainstorm, develop concepts, and execute designs.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple design projects, coordinating timelines and requirements to ensure timely delivery.
  • Digital Design: Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other industry tools to create visually compelling designs for various digital formats.
  • Typography & Layout: Apply strong typography and layout principles to ensure clear and effective visual communication.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: Develop creative solutions for design challenges and provide innovative alternatives when necessary.
  • Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of all designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company brand guidelines.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design, with proven expertise in delivering design projects from concept to completion.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, particularly with a focus on brand identity, corporate design, and creative problem-solving.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and familiarity with other design tools.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple design projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
