Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, consolidate, and streamline existing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to improve system performance, simplify management, and enhance policy enforcement
  • Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and efficient GPOs tailored to the Windows 11 environment
  • Ensure all GPO configurations adhere to security frameworks such as CIS benchmarks, NIST CSF, and Microsoft Security Baselines
  • Work closely with IT security, infrastructure, and operations teams to define and enforce security hardening measures
  • Perform rigorous testing and validation of new GPOs to minimize the risk of system disruptions during deployment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of policy changes and provide expert-level troubleshooting support for GPO-related issues

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on GPO management and Windows security
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Windows Server environments
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting for automation and policy enforcement
  • Proven ability to analyze complex IT environments and develop optimized GPO solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across IT teams and stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • Microsoft certifications such as Windows Server, Identity and Access Administrator, and Security Compliance and Identity Fundamentals
  • Experience working in a Mining organization at an enterprise level.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based policy management tools like Intune or Azure AD
  • Background in vulnerability management and endpoint protection

Pay Rate: $110-130/hour
