We are looking for a Power System and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) Engineer to join our dynamic team and help shape the electric grids of tomorrow.


About the Role:

As a Power System and HIL Engineer, you will:

  • Design, implement, and test Control-Hardware-In-the-Loop (C-HIL) systems for renewable energy projects.
  • Perform system modeling, simulation, and validation for compliance with industry standards (e.g., ERCOT, MOD).
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to optimize grid performance and support clients with Unit Model Validation (UMV) and Model Quality Testing (MQT).
  • Contribute to the development of AI-enhanced Energy Management Systems.
  • Stay at the forefront of smart grid technologies and contribute to a sustainable energy future.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • A PhD in a relevant field is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders with exceptional experience may also be considered.
  • Essential Skills:
  • Familiarity with RTDS (including power system simulation) is a must.
  • Knowledge of communication mediums like IEC 61850 is essential.
  • Understanding of time-domain simulation of power systems and the concept of control of IBR-based plants (Inverter-Based Resources) is required.
  • Additional Skills (Bonus):
  • Expertise in protection systems is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as PSS/E and TSAT is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with HIL simulation platforms such as OPAL-RT or Typhoon HIL.
  • A passion for innovation and sustainability.
