Frances’ Financial Solutions is a boutique agile bookkeeping firm focusing on tailored financial solutions including bookkeeping, payroll and finance management. We are currently looking for a bookkeeper to join our team.
Pay: $20.00 to 25.00 per hour
Job type: Part time
Location: Barrie, ON (Remote)
Hours: 10-15 hours per week, flexible Monday-Friday 9-5 EST
Work Language: English
Responsibilities:
- Manage client correspondence
- Process full cycle accounting including sales invoices and receipts, AR payments, vendor invoices and AP payments
- Reconcile bank statements and review discrepancies
- Prepare first review of financial statements – profit and loss, AP, AR
- Maintain financial records and documentation according to company standards
- Prepare HST/GST/QST filings and remittances
- Process payroll and related filings
Qualifications:
- Diploma in accounting or other business field
- 3-10 years experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role
- 2-5 years experience as a client/business manager
- Experience with CRA/non-profit audits
- Payroll experience preferred
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient using a multitude of accounting software – Quickbooks (Desktop and Online), Sage, Xero, Spire
- Proficient using receipt/database software including Hubdoc & Dext Prepare
- Strong client and vendor relationship skills, including interpersonal, communication, and customer service.
- Experience with multiple softwares including 1 Password, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite of products
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working in an agile/remote environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Thrives in working independently
- Proactive and solutions-based approach to problem solving
