Job Title: IT Risk & Controls Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Risk & Controls Analyst to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. As an IT Risk & Controls Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of IT controls within our organization, with a specific focus on control design for software design, coding, and testing. Your role will also involve issue remediation for database (DB) or IT infrastructure processes, monitoring controls using pre-defined key indicators, and providing monthly reporting to process owners.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate discussions on IT processes or controls during meetings
  • Prepare drafts of IT process or control descriptions (5W1H) according to standard requirements and stakeholder meetings
  • Gather and assess evidence for control or issue remediation to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Simplify risk and control data analytics using MS Excel formulas
  • Utilize spreadsheets to monitor the progress of IT control initiatives
  • Develop PowerPoint slides for presentation and reporting purposes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC) are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT risk management, control design, and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of software development processes, coding practices, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and IT infrastructure controls.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting control monitoring data and metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with enterprise P&C insurance or the financial services industry is preferred.
